Ne:

“I wonder if Sasuke’s okay… What if the first Akatsuki hideout we try is a bulls-eye… I dunno. I only said ‘what if?'”

“Look, Kabuto, you’re not planning on trying to absorb Sasuke are you? And would that make you Kabuke or Sasuto?”

“Now what? Which way do we go? No wait! Let me guess. Whatever path is closest. I’ll bet that’s what you were gonna say, isn’t it? I’m starting to get inside your head, Sasuke.”

Suigetsu from the Naruto series is an interesting character. He’s a clear extravert due to his general inability to stop talking. From the moment he teams up with Sasuke, Suigetsu is rarely silent. He’s constantly sharing his opinion, going on long rants, and asking tons of questions. His Ne dominance is portrayed in how frequently he asks these questions, guesses, and speculates. He often tries to guess what Sasuke has done or is about to do. You can especially see this in the one-sided conversation he has with Sasuke after surviving the test and retrieving his sword. He’s also shown asking the classic ‘what-if’ style questions on occasion. He’s shown doing quirky things like saying “Open sesame!” before slicing open a door, and an example of an Ne-style speculation can be seen when he wonders how long it would take to cut down the Divine Tree. Suigetsu is also impulsive, and rarely hesitates to jump into battle, which is a classic sign of extraversion.

Ti:

“What do you think the odds are that he still remembers we’re both on his side?”

“Ordering me around like some kind of big shot, huh? I think it’s time we clarified our relationship, Sasuke. Okay? You were the one who chose to rescue me. You made that decision on your own. I never said anything about following you if you came back for me. Just because you defeated Orochimaru doesn’t make you better than me.”

“You know, as long as I have this blade I could defeat even you…well, maybe.”

Suigetsu feels no impulse to control his external environment. He shrugs everything off, whether it be Sasuke’s attitude, Sasuke’s orders, Karin’s yelling, Karin’s insults, and etc. He’s very casual and cool-headed, rarely letting anything bother him and rarely showing any kind of emotion. He demonstrates the classic Ti apathy which occasionally shifts into amusement. He specifically is shown getting amusement from behavior that he sees as “terrible”, like the test that Sasuke puts him through. He never takes it personally, even though he could have died, and just laughs about it. Suigetsu is also critical, and upfront with his opinions. He’ll casually throw out whatever he’s thinking, but then never attempts to enforce any of those opinions, which supports Ti over Te. An example of this can be seen when Sasuke is putting together the team, and Suigetsu disagrees with his choices. Suigetsu also makes it clear that he’s not bound to anyone from a moral standpoint, and can do whatever he wants. He’s not naturally respectful of any perceived authority.

Fe:

“Nah, no way. We’re going to meddle of course. After all, that’s my second favorite past-time after collecting blades.”

Suigetsu enjoys mocking, making fun of people, and meddling, which is classic tertiary Fe behavior. He pokes fun at Karin constantly, mocks Sasuke’s attitude, and etc. Suigetsu specifically enjoys going after Karin, mostly due to her more extreme reactions. He also pays attention to the behavior of others, and uses what he sees to his advantage. For instance, when trying to get information about his sword, he specifically tells the girl that Sasuke is asking when he notices that Sasuke is attracting the attention of nearby girls. Suigetsu is also shown throwing out guesses and using the reactions that he sees to spur new questions or draw conclusions. A good example of Suigetsu’s low Fe can actually be seen in Boruto when he helps Sarada run a DNA test. He just helps her without really thinking about, and then instantly regrets it when he sees her reaction. Suigetsu does display a certain level of loyalty to Sasuke, however, so his positive Fe use does come out during the times that Sasuke is injured and Suigetsu steps in to make sure he’s taken care of.

Si:

Suigetsu’s is constantly seeking out more information, hence the millions of questions that he is prone to asking. He’s also shown getting on Sasuke about not sharing the details about what he’s doing. Suigetsu’s inferior Si can also be seen when he takes a long time to notice that Karin and Sasuke have slipped away from him in the cave. He doesn’t realize that they’re gone until they fail to answer a question that he has posed. It’s also possible that him choosing to work with Orochimaru in Boruto can be another indication of inferior Si, since he’s failing to strike out on his own and move forward with his life, essentially keeping piece of himself tied to his past with Orochimaru.
