Te:

“That’s why I’m going to change this world, and the people in it.”

“It’s more efficient that way.”

“People who don’t apply even minimal effort have no right to envy those with talent.”

Yukino is unabashedly direct. She is incredibly harsh and critical with her words, and never bothers to sugar coat anything. This is incredibly obvious right from the start, but to give a few examples, it can be seen clearly in her initial arguments with Hikigaya and when reviewing Zaimokuza’s light novel as one of the club’s requests. Generally speaking, Yukino has harsh interpretations of people and events.

Yukino is bossy and commanding, even to the point of calling out every time that her teacher doesn’t knock before entering the club room. She’s very efficient, and values efficiency. She’s good at being in leadership or managerial roles, which many others recognize. (An example being when she helps Sagami plan the Culture Festival.) She also decides to run for president of the student council as a solution to one of their requests, which generally demonstrates her lack of fear in holding these types of leadership roles. In some of her early dialogue, she emphasizes taking control and changing the world, along with the people in it. While we did consider her being an Si dominant, she never appears to emphasize caution. Instead, she believes in challenging one’s limits.

In spite of her misanthropic nature, she’s well known throughout the school for her looks and talent, which shows that she is not good at flying under the radar. Her greatest weakness appears to be her lack of feeling, but more on that in the inferior Fi section.

Si:

“Despite how I look, I’m the type to hold a grudge.”

“I’ll give you a demonstration. Do exactly as I do.”

“Well, first, explain to me where the definition of “friend” begins and ends”

Yukino has a very precise and meticulous nature. She is quick to take control of situations so that she can do things exactly as she wants them to be done. She has a detail based memory. She demonstrates this at one point, mentioning that she knows the names of most everyone in the school. In addition to this, she needs terms and other things to be well defined, asking for clarification when there is ambiguity.

At one point in the show, Yukino shows another quirk of Si when she feels compelled to straighten out Yui’s apron because it was crooked. Si can have a tendency to be bothered seeing things disheveled or out of place. When the club agrees to look over Zaimokuza’s light novel, she tabulates the entire thing, marking all over the place and organizing it so she can easily flip to and address the various shortcomings. She picks apart the grammar, many other things, and tells him to get common sense before displaying literary talent.

Another good example of Yukino’s Si is when Yui is confused as to what Hikigaya means when he says risk. Instead of picking up on the fact that Yui is confused as to what is being defined as risk, she simply rattles off the dictionary definition of the word. Yui responds to this with frustration and protest because she knows what the word means. At another point in the show when Yui is trying to convince them all to go to the theme park rather than wait until a less crowded time, Yukino counters many of Yui’s arguments by having a large general knowledge about the park’s schedule and events. After rattling this off, someone comments on how well informed she seems to be.

Ne:

Yukino’s Ne shows up in her various speculations. The club is generally shown brainstorming how to solve the various requests. In addition, Yukino is shown speculating what may happen in some of the cases, like with the request regarding the student council. A good example of her Ne is when Yui disappears from the club for a while due to being upset with Hikigaya. She asks for clarification from Hikigaya, and then suggests at least five possible terms to describe what had happened between the two of them. (She suggests a dispute, war, annihilation, difference of opinion, or a fight.)

At the beginning of the show especially, when she first meets Hikigaya in the club, Yukino displays a propensity or tendency toward arguing. This could potentially be attributed to her Te-Ne. Another evidence of her Ne is that she wants to have a buffer when planning out the festival. Her low Ne would have been feeding her possibilities about what could go wrong so she wants to account for things not going smoothly and desires to allow time to make up for that.

Fi:

“I hate the way you accept your weakness as a positive.”

“Such values are pointless.”

Yukino appears to demonstrate inferior Fi. She openly speaks about hating weakness, and berates Hikigaya for displaying it. She also criticizes certain values in others as being pointless, which suggests a devaluing of Fi. Generally speaking, her greatest struggle appears to lie in the realm of her emotions. She’s terrible at demonstrating any form of empathy, and outlets her desire to help others through the club. However, her Fi, being inferior, is not developed enough to temper her harsh words or actions. As any low Fi, she emphasizes not caring what others think.

Yukino doesn’t appear to understand her emotions in addition to suppressing them. The most obvious example shows up in relation to the love triangle. Only Yui appears to understand what’s going on. It takes Yukino a long time to recognize her feelings toward Hikigaya. Another good example is when Hikigaya sacrifices himself, once again, for the sake of a request. She informs him that she is bothered by the way he does things, but can’t put her finger on why.
