Bleach: Renji Abarai (ESFP)
โIโm telling you, Renji. Sometimes you and Ichigo are so much alike itโs scary.โ โ Uryu
Se:
โIf you wanna talk to me, do it while I cut you to pieces. But, Iโm not gonna hold back one bit! Bankai!โ
Renji is impulsive, loud, and boisterous. He doesnโt hesitate to speak in front of others, being shown in class to yell out an answer in the middle of class. Sometimes he even speaks and then forgets what he said immediately after. (Example in Hueco Mundo arc.) Heโs also shown running through the halls, shouting for Rukia, and running into people without much concern. Renji is quick to launch into action and is prone to recklessness. He tends to frustrate Chad and Uryu as a result. (Examples can be seen in the tunnel in Hueco Mundo and the battle he fought with Chad at the end of the Hueco Mundo arc.) He also confronts Ichigo alone, against protocol, which later gets him arrested. Renji tends to use brute force type methods, and wonโt hesitate to go straight to Bankai if confronted with a formidable enough opponent. Heโs impatient, and gets frustrated when things slow them down. In battle, he figures out his strategy as he goes, being shown in the Hueco Mundo arc to test out a reckless strategy on a hunch.
Fi:
โA man who raises his hands on a woman is trash. If I have to become trash in order to surviveโฆ Itโll be just like dying.โ
Renji appears to take great pride in his identity. He gets offended easily when mocked, and is even shown growling at a student who makes an off-handed comment about his tattoos. He is very loyal to Rukia, and willing to break the rules when he finally realizes that her life is truly at risk. When he first learns that Rukia is to be taken in by Byakuya, he encourages her to do whatโs best for her, although he struggles to hide his personal feelings on the matter. (He attempts to mask them in fake laughter, which was obviously fake.) Once separated from her, he is unwilling to talk to her again until he is the rank of Lieutenant, which demonstrates Fi self-imposed standards. When fighting off Ichigo, he insists that his feelings for Rukia are stronger than Ichigoโs. Renji is also shown attempting to boost the teamโs spirits during the Hueco Mundo arc, and leads them in a chant before they split up down the individual pathways.
Te:
โHow dare you mock me! I could kill you for an insult like that!โ
Renji can be very abrasive and rough. Renji can refer to people very impersonally when he wants to, and for the sake of the mission. He doesnโt struggle to take leadership, or enforce whatever he believes needs to happen. Heโs very straightforward and no-nonsense, which is typical of Se-Te. Heโs also very goal-oriented and disciplined, partly as a result of his training and partly due to self-imposed standards. He values rank and status, and strives to progress within the Soul Society.
Ni:
Renji is shown relying on hunches in battle. He specifically states that heโs following a hunch during the battle in Hueco Mundo in which heโs teamed up with Uryu. His reckless style of fighting is characteristic of inferior Ni, failing to consider the consequences, assuming instincts will carry him through. He appears to just launch into action, following whatever course he deems best, with little concern about how things may end up. This, for instance, gets him arrested in the Soul Society, for breaking protocol and fighting Ichigo alone.
