Fe:

โ€œIโ€™d kill myself because I wouldnโ€™t have the courage to keep on living while everyone in Tokyo was against me.โ€

โ€œPlease do something about your crude language .โ€

โ€œI invited you. Why didnโ€™t you come?โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll bear your sins in your place.โ€

Mikiya appears to lead with Extraverted Feeling. Heโ€™s very warm, friendly, and socially confident. He seems to easily make friends and build connections. He is quick to insert himself into any situation where he feels like his help his needed, a good example being the scenario in which he crosses paths with a girl who can see the future. He jumps right into situation, ensures her that the ominous vision does not come true, and then invites her to lunch. Over lunch he drills her about her power. Heโ€™s shown at one point forcing the conversation back on point in spite of her attempt to deviate to a different subject, and rather boldly tells her that sheโ€™s not that special. His willingness to be that blunt, and ability to do it in a nice way can be attributed to dominant Fe. An auxiliary Fe user is less likely to act like this around a random stranger. He also randomly drops a cat off for Shiki to watch, with little more than an encouraging โ€œIโ€™m counting on youโ€ before taking off.

Mikiya is kind hearted and compassionate. He ultimately makes decisions with his emotions, which is made clear when he chooses to believe in Shiki no matter what logic would suggest. He openly admits that he has no good reason to believe in her. You can see similar behavior in the way he immediately believes a random girlโ€™s story about seeing someone die in the future, and runs off to prevent her vision from coming true. Over and over again, he is shown seeing people as victims rather than villains, and refusing to kill, even when the situation appears to warrant it. He is constantly checking in on Shiki, visiting her unannounced, bringing her things, and etc.

Heโ€™s generally focused on others versus himself. He explains that if the whole world turned against him, heโ€™d lose the courage to keep living and kill himself. Heโ€™s shown rebuking someone for rude behavior, which is an Fe pet peeve. Heโ€™s occasionally specifically shown honing in on someoneโ€™s emotions, and claims that heโ€™ll bear Shikiโ€™s sins in her place.

Si:

โ€œOnce you get off the elevator, you have apartments 406 through 410 front. Huh? Thatโ€™s strange. Itโ€™s 401 through 405. Is there a mistake in the blueprint?โ€

โ€œI could only investigate 30 households out of the 50.โ€

Mikiya is grounded, practical, detail oriented, and methodical. In one scenario, he appears to have the blueprints to a large complex memorized, and recalls where things are by referencing nothing but his memory. Heโ€™s quick to see the contradictions between what heโ€™s seeing and what should be there according to the blueprints. Heโ€™s excellent at researching and investigating. However, Touko calls him dense for failing to put together all of the pieces suggesting that Shiki has a new man in her life. This suggested Si over Ni, since he failed to draw a conclusion based on the vague information that Touko seemed to pick up. Mikiya more specifically excels at pouring over data and investigating in a methodical way, which is very Si. At one point, Shiki says that Mikiya says things in certain orders and doesnโ€™t make mistakes, which is just further proof of his detail-oriented nature.

Another example of his Si worth noting, is the fact that he watches her outside her house night after night without fail. Heโ€™s also shown having an umbrella ready when it starts raining while heโ€™s out and about, which suggests Si preparedness. In addition, while in the car with Touko, heโ€™s mostly off in his head rather than listening to her lecture; however heโ€™s naturally observant enough to immediately noticed and call out the fact that she had just missed their turn. Heโ€™s also shown peeling oranges and lining them up in front of him in a very specific way, which could be a nod toward Siโ€™s tendency to be a bit anal.

Itโ€™s worth noting that while we considered Si dominant for him, his Si always seems to take a backseat to his Fe. For instance, knowing Shiki might be a murderer, he still waits alone outside her house night after night.

Ne:

โ€œLetโ€™s say I had this horrible retrovirus that would kill everyone in Tokyo if I stayed alive. If everyone could be saved if I died, Iโ€™d probably kill myself.โ€

Mikiyaโ€™s Ne is not demonstrated too strongly. However, he is shown producing the occasional hypothetical scenario, like a what-if scenario about a horrible retrovirus. He also keeps bringing Shiki strawberry ice cream because it reminds him of her. He makes a random connection between the color of her jacket (red), and strawberries belonging to the rose family. Heโ€™s also shown using his Ne in a more whimsical fashion when randomly beginning to sing โ€œSinging in the Rain.โ€ Mikiya seems to generally be a balanced person, never appearing to demonstrate any of the negatives of low Ne (which further supported him not being an inferior Ne user).

Ti:

โ€œI donโ€™t have any basis, but Iโ€™ll probably keep believing in you. See, I like you so Iโ€™ll keep believing in you.โ€

Mikiyaโ€™s inferior Ti comes out the strongest in the way he openly and blatantly disregards logic for the sake of his emotions. His willingness to boldly state this outloud is suggestive of the way some people openly defy their inferior function. A good example of him doing this is when he sees Shiki standing over a dead body covered in blood, but simply states that he did not see her murder the man, so she must not have.

Heโ€™s also very critical of himself, openly proclaiming to Shiki at one point that he is weak. Itโ€™s also suggested on another occasion that he struggles with feeling alone and invisible, which is a tendency for low Ti users due their focus on others and failure to assert their own identity.
