My Hero Academia: Eijiro Kirishima (ESFP)
Se:
โLetโs go charging into battle together!โ to Bakugo
โIโm shaking with excitement!โ
As a dominant extraverted sensor, Kirishima is impulsive and highly competitive. He has no issues reacting in the immediate moment, and is usually one of the first to do so. ย For instance, when the USJ was attacked, Bakugo and him are the first of the students to leap into action and attempt to attempt the attacker with the warping quirk. He also is the main driving force behind launching a rescue for Bakugo. Kirishima is shown doing crazy things like jumping off of buildings while screaming like a madman. He enjoys the thrill and excitement of fighting, and struggles staying on the sidelines. He also mentions that he wishes his power was flashier. In addition, Kirishima is incredibly laidback, and one of the few people that can get along with Bakugo in spite of Bakugoโs intensity and bad temper. Kirishima oftentimes allows Bakugo to lash out at him and use him as a punching bag. He frequently tries to convince Bakugo to โcool itโ and can, at times, convince Bakugo to do things when others canโt.
Fi:
โListen to these guys! Theyโre so manly!โ
โSneak attack, Bakugo? What kind of man pulls cheap crap like that?โ
Kirishima makes his ideals and standards very clear. He idealizes โmanlyโ behavior and speaks out against anything dishonorable. He frequently calls out behavior that impresses, along with behavior that he disagrees with. For instance, he is touched by his fellow UA students who resign from the sports competition because they felt like they hadnโt earned their place. (He expresses this while crying.) Another good example is when Bakugo angers a bunch of fellow UA students, and then just walks away. Kirishima expresses disapproval over what Bakugo had done, and hates that his exit was so manly. Kirishima also expresses concern at one point that Bakugo is going to kill Midoriya, and, ย in general, is usually quick to check on the wellbeing of his fellow students. Kirishima is very secure in himself, and unbothered by Bakugoโs abrasive behavior. Most things roll right off his back, and even translates some of what Bakugo says in a more idealistic way. Kirishima usually tries to calm situations down that begin to get too emotionally intense, like when Todoroki calls out Midoriya right before the sports festival. Kirishima is definitely shown demonstrating emotion, and is prone toward more intimate gestures like touching people on the shoulder (Se-Fi tendency).
Te:
Kirishima is rarely seen doing any planning. He usually deals with things in a straightforward manner, like his exam against Cementos. He and his partner just keep trying to bulldoze through the cement walls, rather than attempting to come up with some kind of plan or strategy to more efficiently deal with the situation. He doesnโt typically try to exert authority or control over his environment or anyone else, beyond expressing disapproval over certain behavior. He does call out things like he seems them and is unafraid to express an opinion. For instance, Bakugo has a moment of calm rationality, and Kirishima is quick to call this out and state that it is unusual. He also frequently mocks Bakugoโs intense or non-heroic behavior.
Ni:
The downsides of inferior Ni go hand-in-hand with dominant Se, to the extent that the explanation seems repetitive. Inferior Ni tends to lead to impulsiveness and acting without any concern for the future or the bigger picture. ย Kirishima exhibits this tendency, usually being driven solely by his instincts and impulses. This sometimes is a credit to him, while other times getting him into trouble.

โKirishima is definitely shown demonstrating emotion, and is prone toward more intimate gestures like touching people on the shoulder (Se-Fi tendency).โ
But Fi shouldnโt very very reserved about emotions and nothing expressive? My first tought was Fi wouldnโt never cry when watching movies Lol
Any feeler type could potentially be emotionally expressive, versus the thinkers that tend to not be. However, there are always exceptions. Fe dominants are probably on average the most expressive in public, followed by the aux Fi users, since they are extroverts. Fe tends to be described as emotionally expressive (I may have even described it as such myself), however, auxiliary Fe users tend to be reserved, so itโs more a matter of how outgoing someone is. With Kirishima, you tend to get those physical acts of affection and affirmation, which is a combination of his Se with his high feeling function (Fi).
Everyone can be emotional in private, so crying in movies is definitely something that Fi users could do. In public, Fi users wonโt be too keen on sharing anything intimate and personal, so youโll notice that Kirishima is not actually sharing anything intimate about himself. Heโs just being friendly and encouraging.
Why he is emotional expressive while Yusuke isnโt?
HNY, guys!
Yusuke is a different type of ESFP. Heโs essentially in an Se-Te loop. You do see some of that stereotypical angsty Fi, and heโs constantly portraying negative emotion like anger. For the most part, Yusuke tries to portray his tertiary Te to the world, however it always tend have some sort of emotion backing it, whether positive or negative. Later on in the show, you start to see his Fi values surface as his character develops. Some people try to say heโs a thinker and thatโs just him developing tertiary Fe, but Yusuke is definitely demonstrating Fi values with Te judgement.
