Si:

“I promise to become a more dependable man right now!”
“I always run away… Everyone’s always bailing me out. That’s why… no one relies on me!! It’s time I stepped up and raised the pirate’s flag!!”
“I will be even more dependable!”

Chopper is very cautious, careful, patient, and timid. Like most Si dominants, Chopper is very detailed and meticulous. He usually explains his diagnoses in great detail to his patient and those around him. Chopper desires to be dependable, and usually follows orders without problem, even when it puts him at risk or goes against his feelings. He’s afraid to question orders, especially when Nami is barking them. Chopper strives to feel safe and secure, and is even shown thinking about how the crew makes him feel really safe. He’s very past driven, and usually sees things through a lens filtered by his past, like his initial view of pirates and humans. Chopper struggles to change his perceptions on things once he’s already formed a viewpoint. He also has a really hard to leaving his home island, and runs from Luffy for the longest time in an attempt to avoid the issue completely. His dream, to become a great doctor that can cure anything, is one that he adopted from his mentor, Hiluluk. Chopper is incredibly loyal, and hates when things are disrespected, like Hiluluk’s flag.

Fe:

“Heh heh! I don’t mind anymore! The only reason I wanted to be human was to make friends! I’m fine being a monster for Luffy’s sake!”
“I’m gonna try even harder and be helpful to everyone!”
“Don’t be silly, you jerk. Flattering me like that isn’t going to make me happy or anything.”

Chopper is very emotionally expressive and sympathetic. He’s quick to respond to the emotions of others. He mimics the emotions and behavior of others, especially Usopp. He’s happy when they’re happy, sad when they’re sad, freaking out when they’re freaking out, etc. Chopper is easily embarrassed and incredibly sensitive to how other people see him. He’ll pretend like he doesn’t want the validation, but always fails miserably. He’s helpful, self-sacrificing, and non-judgemental. Chopper will jump into the water to save someone even though he can’t swim. When necessary, Chopper will strive to maintain harmony and play the mediator. He hates disharmony of any kind. He’s sensitive toward all living creatures. Back on his home island, he left the door open to the castle, allowing snow to fill a large portion of it, simply to keep a nest of baby birds alive. He’s driven by a desire for friendship, and joined the Straw Hats because Luffy declared himself to be Chopper’s friend. Chopper is also easily guilted, oftentimes fearing how others will react when Chopper feels like he’s failed them someway. Chopper is willing to change himself if it means being a better friend and crew member.

Ti:

“I’ll become a doctor who can cure any disease! Because… because there’s no disease in this world that can’t be cured!”

Chopper’s uses his Ti for logical analysis and diagnoses. One can view his desire to cure every disease as a potentially Ti driven goal as well. Every disease is a puzzle that needs to be solved. He also uses relative logic. Chopper determines the poisonous mushroom to be a cure for all diseases simply because Hiluluk had used a skull and cross bones on his own personal pirate flag to symbolize life and healing. He also frequently analyzes his past actions and the past in general, which appears to be a Si-Ti analysis combination. In addition, when refusing Luffy’s offer to join the crew, Chopper comes up with a bunch of “logical” reasons as to why he cannot go.

Ne:

Chopper’s Ne comes out strongest in his fear and paranoia. He panics easily, and loses control of his Si when he does, forgetting key details like the fact that he is a doctor. However, in spite of that, Chopper finds new things to be very fascinating. He has a wide-eyed wonder similar to Luffy and Usopp. He’s also inventive. While he never produces something brand new or out of the ordinary, he does refine his Rumble Ball multiple times, allowing himself to take several different forms, even though the norm is only three.
