Ne:

โ€œLetโ€™s build our settlement right! And there weโ€™ll make it so kids wonโ€™t have to kill each other. And weโ€™ll create this awesome school where kids can train and grow up to become stronger. Assign missions that fit peopleโ€™s abilities and their strengths too. Have superiors who are able to properly assign ranks to commissions. A place where kids donโ€™t have to be sent into harsh battlefronts.โ€
โ€œCanโ€™t a true pact, a true alliance be achieved?
โ€œHow do we bring about concrete changes? Weโ€™ve gotta have a vision for the future!โ€

Hashirama is a clear ENFP. Heโ€™s always been both an optimist and a dreamer. In spite of being raised during a hard, war-ridden time, Hashirama constantly dreams of a better future, although he is unsure of how exactly to bring it about. On top of a cliff one day, he spur of the moment gets an idea of a village him and Madara could start in the forest below, and he describes it in great detail. Madara calls this nonsense, but admits that it sounds like a good idea. His dreams in general, while usually centered on the same subject, encompass a wide range of ideas and possibilities. The dreams seem unrealistic, idealistic, and unattainable. Madara even calls him childish for his beliefs. On the other hand, Hashirama mocks Madara for his lack of creativity, specifically when naming the village.

After Sasuke and Orochimaru reanimate the Hokages, Hashirama appears very lighthearted and goofy, in spite of the seriousness of the situation. A couple of watchers like Suigetsu, knowing Hashiramaโ€™s reputation, are surprised and disillusioned by lack of dignity he displays. His goofy and joking nature was similar as a child, in the way he always played games with Madara. Heโ€™s even shown approaching Madara giddily because heโ€™d just learned a new justu.

Fi:

โ€œHow long are all these conflicts going to last?โ€ฆAnd children must be sacrificed?โ€
โ€œSenju? The clan of love? Yeah right? A full fledged Shinobi? Come on! All this is just adults ganging up on kids and driving them to their deaths! Weโ€™re doing the exact same thing as the Uchiha!โ€

โ€œI dream of a time when all shinobi will cooperate with each other โ€ฆ A time when everyoneโ€™s hearts will be together regardless of their countries. Thatโ€™s my โ€ฆ dream of the futureโ€
โ€œThis is disrespectful toward our brothers and comrades!โ€

He stands up for his ideals and fights for his dreams, refusing to give up his belief in them. He questions his father over the merits and fairness of sending children to war. Angry at the response he hears, feeling emotional due to the loss of young Shinobi, and fearing for the loss of his siblings, Hashirama loses control of his emotions and lashes out, saying the Senju are no better than any of the other clans. He believes the Shinobi world to be a mess, and desires a time when peopleโ€™s heart can be knit together regardless of clan membership. His feelings and emotions frequently drive him and shape his decisions. Hashirama is relatively comfortable with his own emotions, and has no issues briefly displaying fake emotion when joking around with Madara.

As he rises through the ranks of his clan, Hashirama constantly fights for peace. Once in a leadership position, he offers a cease fire agreement to Madara multiple times. Hashirama is even willing to kill himself to gain that peace when Madara offers peace for the death of either Hashirama or Hashiramaโ€™s brother. During the many times he battled Madara later, Hashirama appeals to Madaraโ€™s emotions, begging Madara to think of all the people who will be hurt by their fight. He appeals to him as both a friend and as a brother, but to no avail.

Te:

โ€œThe village Madara and I originally desired was something that could connect clans โ€ฆ An important cornerstone to turn chaos into order and maintain it โ€ฆ Something to protect children and avoid useless quarrels โ€ฆ a beautiful place ruled by peaceโ€
โ€œI will protect my village whatever it takes.โ€

Te goes hand in hand with Fi, since Te in the enforcer of Fi ordeals. Therefore, Hashiramaโ€™s Te shows up every time his Fi decides to stand for his ideals. But, in addition, to this, Hashiramaโ€™s Te is shown in statement like the quote above. He desires to end the war, and create order. Hashirama trains hard to amass the strength to make his dream reality, even though he has no clue how to make it come about. When Tobirama barks at him, Hashirama responds almost goofily, but in more serious moments, when he feels the need to restrain Tobirama from acting, his Te does launch into action and take charge of the situation.

Si:

โ€œCanโ€™t we just skip stones like we did in the old days?โ€

Hashirama is nostalgic, longing for the friendship he once had with Madara. He also has very detailed dreams. His initial vision for the village involves the creation of a school, the ranking system, how missions would be assigned, and etc. It isnโ€™t just an abstract vision to create a better world, but an incredibly detailed, ever-expanding dream. This is characteristic of Ne/Si.
