Se:

“I’m not interested in something like that. It’s nonsense to pursue something if you don’t even know if it exists. It’s not even funny. Even if it does exist, who in this world can reach it?”

Cornelius Alba is another Kara no Kyoukai character that is not given enough attention in the series to be well developed. However, he appears to be an Se dominant. He seems relatively hasty in his actions, and forward with Touko. He’s more prone to facing someone head on and fighting. He’s animated, physically speaking, using a lot of hand motions and things of that nature. He also sees certain endeavours as pointless, like Araya’s ultimate pursuit. He states plainly that there’s no point in pursuing something that may not exist, or something that may be unattainable, which points away from him being any kind of intuitive. The only reason he teams up with Araya is to get his revenge on Touko. One could also potentially claim his flashy yet sophisticated clothing as Se aesthetics. (However, for the record, not all ESTPs are like that.)

Ti:

“Replacement? Are you a puppet? No, you’re real. No, the one I killed must be… That’s a contradiction. What’s going on?”

The big question with Cornelius was whether or not he had Ti or Fi. The biggest thing that points to Ti is how badly he freaks out when Touko shows up after he kills the original version of her. Ti struggles deeply when it can’t logically grasp something. When Touko appears, Cornelius starts sputtering about how her presence is a contradiction, and it doesn’t make sense. On the spot, he tries to figure out which is the puppet and which is real. He can’t make heads or tails of it, and just circles around on the reasoning, completely confused. Not only that, but he doesn’t understand why one puppet wasn’t better than the other, why she had literally just made a single, exact duplicate of herself. He struggles to take any of this at face value, and just focus on saving his own life.

Fe:

“Your arrogance to treat me as an inferior led them to believe that I’m inferior, Aozaki!”

Cornelius has a very clear inferiority complex, and wants to be acknowledged by Touko. He doesn’t have that Fi assurance of self, and ends up being so deeply hurt by her surpassing him and supposedly looking down on him, that he sets out to get his ultimate revenge. Cornelius also portrays that tertiary Fe desire to provoke reactions out of people. He purposely takes Touko’s head over to where Mikiya is and destroys it right in front of him, in an attempt to freak him out. You see that crazed and deranged look in his eyes during the heat of battle, which is something that’s commonly seen in the Se-Fe and even the Ne-Fe users.

Ni:

Cornelius’ inferior Ni shows up the strongest in his failure to read into why Araya hadn’t completely killed off Touko. All he can see is his desire to gain revenge, and doesn’t think to question why Araya might have kept her alive. This failure results in him triggering the process which allows her to return in her second body to finish him off. This is an example of a low Ni user’s weakness. He fails to anticipate consequences and yields solely to his impulses in the moment.
